Professional Focus
I enjoy working with older adolescents and adults of all ages in individual, couples and family therapy. My style is supportive and strengths based while appropriately challenging clients to extend themselves in making the changes they want to see in themselves and their lives. My psycho-dynamic and family systems theoretical orientation reflects my enjoyment of working with people who desire to make deep and long lasting change through intimate understanding of themselves. My approach is balanced by practicality and use of cognitive techniques when appropriate.
I also use a variety of mindfulness and mind-body practices in my work, with a focus on holistic wellness. I have particular interest in assisting people and families facing addiction, codependency, dual diagnosis, trauma histories, depression, anxiety and relationship problems.
